Bigfoot is a cryptid, legendary creature that lives in jungle areas close to the equator (Philippines in particular). Its appearance has been reported to be largely similar to the Silverback Gorilla; however, eyewitnesses have described it to have feet comparable in size to that of an elephant. It is a common story in the media. There are even groups of people who live in areas where Bigfoot has been sighted just so that they can prove it exists.
Most of the sightings are where there is more rainfall. The most convincing evidence of Bigfoot is the Patterson footage, shot in Oregon. (Maybe Washington State.)
