A Skeleton is the internal framework of most vertebrates. However, after the flesh of a dead individual has decayed away, necromancy can be employed to raise it in a similar fashion to other "mindless" undead, such as zombies . In fact, if the necromantic spell employed to raise a zombie does not prevent decay, a zombie will eventually become a skeleton.
